2018 NT Thunder Membership Terms and Conditions

AFL Northern Territory

  • 1. MEMBERSHIP

    • 1.1 Concession Members must hold a valid Pension Card – aged, single parent, disability or veterans affairs, A Health Care, Health Benefit or Seniors card. Students must be enrolled full-time to qualify for concession membership. A copy of a valid concession card needs to be provided with the membership application.
    • 1.2 Juniors must be 17 years or under as at January 1, 2018. (ie born after January 1, 2000). This includes juniors in a family and individual Junior Supporter Memberships.
    • 1.3 All family memberships consist of two adults and up to two children (aged 12 - 17 years as outlined at point 1.2). Any additional members aged 12 - 17 years will be required to purchase an individual Junior Membership. Juniors Under 12 can sign up for a free Cracka Fan Club membership.
    • 1.4 The number of junior members who are part of this family must be nominated at the time of the application being submitted.
    • 1.5 NT Thunder membership cards are non transferable. The membership card always remains the responsibility of the member.
    • 1.6 The membership card remains the property of NT Thunder.
    • 1.7 All NT Thunder membership packages are seasonal memberships. The respective membership fee for each membership is valid for one season only. All memberships expire at the end of each respective season.
    • 1.8 NT Thunder does not accept any responsibility for membership cards that are lost, stolen or destroyed.  Lost membership cards should be reported to NT Thunder on 08 8980 4801 to be replaced.
    • 1.9 All members must comply with AFL Northern Territory’s (AFLNT) Code of Conduct and game entry terms and conditions. Any violation may result in membership being withdrawn from the offending party.
    • 1.10 NT Thunder reserves the right to refuse any application. The Club also reserves the right to cancel a membership without refund to any member in breach of these terms and conditions.
    • 1.11 Members should notify the NT Thunder of any changes of address or contact details for all memberships. Members’ change of contact details may be completed in writing, through their online membership account, via an email from an email address already registered with the NT Thunder; or over the phone after the details have been verified.
    • 1.12 All members are issued with an account ID and password for their NT Thunder account. It is the member’s responsibility to protect this information. NT Thunder is not responsible for any changes that are made on this site if the member allows access to their account by another party.
    • 1.13 All Members with game access need to use their membership card to access NT Thunder home games.
    • 1.14 Supporter, Junior Supporter, Family and Cracka Fan Club members can gain access to all NT Thunder Men’s and Women’s home games, excluding curtain raisers to AFL games.
    • 1.15 Legend and Platinum Club Members can gain access to all NT Thunder Men’s and Women’s home games, including AFL Games. See further information below.
    • 1.16 Interstate Members can use their membership card for any two NT Thunder home games, excluding AFL games. Your card will be scanned on entry.

  • 2. PLATINUM CLUB

    • 2.1 Platinum Club Members will have access to Kantilla’s bar at the AFL game at TIO Stadium. No sign in rights are available at Kantilla’s for this game.
    • 2.2 Platinum Club Members will receive General Admission access for the AFL game in Alice Springs.
    • 2.3 Platinum Club Members are entitled to an invitation for one person to the NT Thunder season launch, 10 year Gala Ball and one Thunderwing event. Members will receive an email invitation with further details prior to these events.
    • 2.4 Platinum Club Members can attend a pre-game meeting and the team warm up in the MLLLC at three pre-determined home games in 2018. Further details will be communicated prior to the 2018 season.
    • 2.5 Platinum Club Members will receive 50% off tickets for Thunderwing functions at games in 2018. Details on these events will be communicated closer to the 2018 season.

  • 3. LEGEND MEMBERSHIP

    • 3.1 Legend Members will have access to a Reserved Seat for the AFL game at TIO Stadium. A separate ticket will be issued for this game and can be collected from AFLNT prior to the game. You will be notified when this is available for collection.
    • 3.2 Legend Members are entitled to an invitation for one person to the NT Thunder 10 year Gala Ball. Members will receive an email invitation with further details prior to the event.
    • 3.3 Legend Members will receive 50% off tickets for Thunderwing functions at games in 2018. Details on these events will be communicated closer to the 2018 season.

  • 4. CURTAIN RAISERS FOR AFL MATCHES

    • 4.1 NT Thunder will play a curtain raiser for one AFL game at TIO Stadium in Darwin and one AFL game at TIO Traeger Park in Alice Springs in 2018.
    • 4.2 The AFL Controls these matches and NT Thunder membership cards cannot be used for entry to these games.
    • 4.3 NT Thunder Members with AFL game access (Platinum Club and Legend) will be provided with a ticket to the game. Legend Members will have a Reserved Seat for the AFL game at TIO Stadium; Platinum Club Members will have access to Kantilla’s bar at the AFL game at TIO Stadium. No sign in rights are available at Kantilla’s for this game. Platinum Club and Legend Members will have General Admission access to the AFL game at TIO Traeger Park.
    • 4.4 All remaining members must purchase tickets to access AFL games.

  • 5. MERCHANDISE VOUCHER

    • 5.1 Supporter, Legend and Platinum Club Members receive a 20% off merchandise voucher.
    • 5.2 This voucher is single use and only one voucher can be used per transaction.

  • 6. KANTILLAS BAR

    • 6.1 All members over the age of 18 are able to gain access to Kantillas bar and can sign in four additional people.
    • 6.2 Only Platinum Club members can gain access to Kantilla’s bar at the AFL game and cannot sign any additional people for this game.

  • 7. PAYMENTS

    • 7.1 Payment of your Club membership fee may be made in one of two ways:
      1. Full payment: your membership fee can be paid via Visa, Mastercard online or over the phone or in person via Cheque, Money Order, Cash or EFTPOS
      2. Online monthly instalments via Visa, Mastercard.
      3. Full or monthly instalment payments using the Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment method.
    • 7.2 Separate terms and conditions relate to the Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment method. These can be found at www.membership.ntthunder.com.au or by request through AFLNT.
    • 7.3 Any person seeking a refund must do so in writing, addressed to the Chief Operating Officer, prior to May 1, 2018. All requests for refunds will be considered but not guaranteed.
    • 7.4 All membership prices for season 2018 are inclusive of GST.

  • 8. MISCELLANEOUS

    • 8.1 AFL NT and NT Thunder are committed to protecting the privacy of its Members. Information collected will be stored and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. View the Policy at www.aflnt.com.au or contact 08 8980 4801.
    • 8.2 Pursuant to the No Smoking laws in the Northern Territory, all NT Thunder venues are non-smoking.
    • 8.3 AFLNT may from time to time where reasonably necessary vary the terms and conditions of NT Thunder Membership. NT Thunder will communicate any change to its membership terms and conditions via the NT Thunder website. Members will have no claim against AFL NT by reason of any change made to its membership terms and conditions.

Terms & Conditions for the Rolling Thunder auto-renewal and monthly installment payment plans

  • 9. Payments

    • 9.1 Payment of your Club membership fee may be made in one of two ways:
      1. Full payment: your membership fee can be paid via Visa, Mastercard online or over the phone or in person via Cheque, Money Order, Cash or EFTPOS
      2. Online monthly instalments via Visa, Mastercard.
      3. Full or monthly instalment payments using the Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment method.
    • 9.2 Separate terms and conditions relate to the Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment method. These can be found at www.membership.ntthunder.com.au or by request through AFLNT.
    • 9.3 Any person seeking a refund must do so in writing, addressed to the Chief Operating Officer, prior to May 1 2018. All requests for refunds will be considered but not guaranteed.
    • 9.4 All membership prices for season 2018 are inclusive of GST.
  • 2. The Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment plan

    • 2.1 The Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment plan is available to all NT Thunder Adult Memberships.
    • 2.2 By committing to the Rolling Thunder auto-renewal, the member authorises AFLNT to arrange a transfer of funds from the members’ nominated debit or credit card for the amount applicable to the members’ membership type. Members can select for payments to be deducted either in full or 6 monthly payments.
    • 2.3 The Rolling Thunder auto-renewal plans rollover the members’ membership and payment each year for the following season. Payments are applied in the same method as when the member signed up.
    • 2.4 Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payments must be made using Visa or Mastercard only.
    • 2.5 Members will be given at least 14 days’ notice in writing prior to the initial processing of payment that is set to rollover to the next season. If members do not wish for their membership & Payment to rollover for the following season, they are required to opt out in writing prior to the first instalment of their 2018 membership being deducted.
    • 2.6 If the member opts out of the payment plan, it is just the payment plan being opted out of and the member will still receive membership information.
    • 2.7 Rolling Thunder auto-renewal: In-Full payment
      1. The total payment will be charged on the 1st December each year and roll over for each successive year.
      2. This option is available on all Adult Memberships
    • 2.8 Rolling Thunder auto-renewal: 6 monthly instalments
      1. Payments will be spread across 6 months in equal instalments. See further terms below regarding the monthly payments.
  • 3. The following terms relates to the 6 monthly payment instalments & 6 monthly Rolling Thunder auto-renewal payment plan

    • 3.1 The pay by the month, 6 monthly instalment plan and Rolling Thunder auto-renewal 6-month plan are available on NT Thunder Supporter, Family, Legend and Platinum Memberships.
    • 3.2 By committing to monthly instalments, the member authorises AFLNT to arrange a transfer of funds from the members’ nominated credit card for the amount applicable to the members’ membership type.
    • 3.3 Payments must be made using Visa or MasterCard only.
    • 3.4 The monthly plan will be split into six equal instalments. The first instalment will be debited on the date of purchase, with further payments on the 10th of each month from January 10, 2018 until May 10, 2018 unless full payment is made beforehand.
    • 3.5 There will be a small transaction fee for the subsequent five monthly instalments processed.
    • 3.6 Members who sign up after January 10, 2018 will need to pay any monthly instalments missed along with the initial payment.
    • 3.7 If a member wishes to opt out of the monthly plan with money still owing, all outstanding payments must be completed at the time of opting out.
    • 3.8 If any payment fails to transfer between institutions on the 10th of any month, further attempts will be made throughout the month to attempt to clear the fund transfer. The member will be contacted via SMS, email, phone and/or post to advise the member of any failed payments.
    • 3.9 If the members’ debit is returned or dishonoured by the members’ financial institution the member will be contacted requesting immediate payment. Any fees levied to the member by the members’ financial institution will be payable by the member. It is the members’ responsibility to ensure that:
      1. the credit card details the member have provided are valid/correct
      2. the member has sufficient clear funds available in the nominated account on the scheduled drawing date
    • 3.10 If a member makes a monthly payment online through their online account, the card used for their latest payment will automatically be applied for all future instalments.
    • 3.11 Members will not be provided with reminders or invoices prior to each monthly instalment.
    • 3.12 AFLNT may suspend the membership if on two consecutive occasions the members’ financial institution does not honour the payment.
    • 3.13 If the member is not up to date with payments, members will not be able to gain access to games or membership entitlements and the members’ membership will not be reinstated until overdue payments are made.
    • 3.14 If the member believes that a withdrawal has been initiated incorrectly, please contact AFLNT on 08 8980 4801.
